Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests warmly, providing menus and answering initial questions.
- Make food and beverage recommendations based on menu knowledge and guest preferences.
- Take and serve orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and stocked throughout service.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth workflow.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests with tact and professionalism.
- Process payments, operate the POS system, and handle cash transactions.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality is a plus.
- Proven experience (at least 1 year) as a waiter in a mid to upscale restaurant.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays up to 15 kg.
- Strong multitasking skills in a high-volume environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Deep knowledge of table settings, service etiquette, and food safety.
