Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, presenting menus and offering beverage suggestions.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen team.
- Serve meals and drinks professionally, ensuring adherence to service standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any requests or concerns promptly.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, tables, and side stations.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth service flow.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest dining experience and maximize revenue.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Waiter or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tables simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to take accurate orders.
- Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Good physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is a plus.
