Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner while ensuring an exceptional dining experience
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver orders to tables in a timely fashion
  • Monitor and maintain halal compliance throughout food preparation, storage, and service areas
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all ingredients and supplies meet halal certification standards
  • Maintain detailed records of halal inventory, certifications, and compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to address any halal-related concerns or requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service, handle guest inquiries, and resolve any issues professionally
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper setup of dining areas before, during, and after service hours

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in food service, hospitality, or restaurant operations
  • Basic understanding of halal certification requirements and food handling standards
  • Strong communication skills in English and Malay (written and verbal)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to monitor compliance and maintain accurate records
  • Physically fit to stand for extended periods and handle fast-paced work conditions
  • Prior experience in a heritage or cultural establishment is an added advantage
