Join Private Advertiser as a Waiter / Server in Surabaya. We are seeking energetic hospitality professionals who can deliver exceptional guest experiences with a smile. In this full-time role, you will be the face of our dining service, creating memorable moments for every guest through attentiveness, product knowledge, and teamwork.
As a waiter/server, you will greet guests, present menus, take accurate orders, coordinate with kitchen and bar staff, and serve meals and beverages with accuracy and a focus on presentation. You will ensure clean and polished dining areas, handle guest requests with professionalism, and uphold our standards for safety, hygiene, and service excellence. A positive attitude, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. This position offers a competitive monthly salary of Rp 1.800.000 – Rp 2.000.000, plus opportunities for growth, training, and tips depending on performance. Our ideal candidate is guest-oriented, reliable, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or cafe is preferred but not required if you show a willingness to learn. We provide training on menu items, service standards, and POS systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, offering menu highlights and daily specials.
- Take accurate orders, enter them into the POS, and communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct presentation and portioning.
- Clear and reset tables, maintain a clean and organized dining area, and manage side work.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, handle requests and feedback with courtesy, and upsell where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food-handling standards during all service steps.
- Process payments accurately, manage cash and POS transactions, and support a smooth guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in waitstaff or customer service roles is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in Indonesian; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and beverage service; ability to upsell politely.
- Basic math skills and experience with POS systems; cash handling experience.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays; flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is a plus.
