Celestica is a global leader in electronics manufacturing services, and we are seeking a highly motivated Manager, Continuous Improvement 1 to join our team in Senai, Johor. In this strategic role, you will collaborate with CI Leadership to define the Continuous Improvement vision and strategy for key customers and internal departments. You will be the driving force behind our operational excellence initiatives, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and enhance overall product quality.
As a Manager, you will facilitate the development of improvement plans, lead cross-functional Kaizen events, and mentor teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing complex production data, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions that drive measurable business results. Responsibilities
- Facilitate the development of the Continuous Improvement (CI) vision and strategy for one or more customers or departments in alignment with company goals.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in the application of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Design and implement process optimization projects to reduce cycle times, minimize manufacturing waste, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify underlying issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Organize and facilitate Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen events, and standard work creation workshops.
- Track, analyze, and report on CI metrics, KPIs, and financial savings to demonstrate the success of improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless process integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Management, or Operations Management within the electronics manufacturing or transport & logistics industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale improvement projects and managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive evidence-based decision-making.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence change and drive engagement across all levels of the organization.
