Responsibilities
- Develop and refine strategic policy frameworks for AI/ML risk management across the financial services sector.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of supervision specialists, data scientists, and policy analysts.
- Oversee the risk assessment of AI models deployed by systemic financial institutions to ensure compliance and systemic stability.
- Collaborate with international regulatory bodies to harmonize global standards for AI governance.
- Provide expert guidance to executive leadership on emerging technological risks and opportunities.
- Facilitate industry-wide dialogues to foster a culture of responsible AI innovation.
- Conduct deep-dive inspections and reviews of high-impact AI implementations in banking systems.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in financial regulation, risk management, or complex technology leadership.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, explainability (XAI), and model validation methodologies.
- Proven track record in leading teams and managing high-stakes stakeholder relationships.
- Strong grasp of Singapore’s financial regulatory landscape and international AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, EU AI Act).
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in managing systemic risk in the context of digital transformation in financial institutions.
