As an Air Hub Specialist you will be responsible for accurate baggage sort and handling, ensuring safety, security, and on-time performance. You will monitor baggage movement, operate equipment, and follow standard operating procedures to prevent misloads and delays. You will communicate effectively with flight operations and ground teams to resolve issues quickly, while maintaining high service standards for passengers and colleagues. Responsibilities
- Safely receive, sort, and load baggage with high accuracy to ensure correct routing and timely aircraft loading.
- Operate baggage handling equipment and follow standard operating procedures to prevent delays and misloads.
- Monitor and track baggage movements, reporting any irregular items or discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with ramp, cargo, and customer service teams to support on-time departures and seamless handoffs.
- Uphold aviation security and safety standards, including screening protocols and incident reporting.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and storage zones in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Provide professional assistance to passengers with baggage-related inquiries and issues when required.
- Engage in ongoing training and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize baggage flow.
Qualifications
- Diploma or high school education; relevant experience in baggage handling or airport/logistics is a plus.
- Physical stamina with the ability to lift and move heavy baggage and work in a fast-paced environment (including shifts, nights, and weekends).
- Knowledge of baggage handling systems and safety regulations is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with a punctual and reliable work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy; willingness to learn airline or ground handling software.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and security screening as required by aviation standards.
