Job Description

SATS is hiring an Air Hub Specialist – Tech Ramp to join our busy operations at Changi Airport, Singapore. This full-time role blends hands-on ramp duties with innovative technology to deliver safe, efficient and reliable air cargo and passenger services. A SGD 5,000 joining bonus is available for eligible Singaporean citizens and PRs.

In this role, you will leverage digital tools, automation and real-time data to optimize aircraft turnaround times, baggage handling, and cargo movements. You will work closely with IT, engineering, flight operations and external partners to implement tech-enabled processes, monitor performance, and resolve issues quickly in a fast-paced hub environment. You will champion safety, quality and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement across the Tech Ramp portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute tech-enabled ramp activities for inbound/outbound flights, baggage handling, and cargo movement, prioritizing safety and on-time performance.
  • Monitor real-time systems and data dashboards to optimize turnaround times, resource allocation, equipment usage, and workload balancing.
  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, flight operations, and ground service partners to implement automated solutions and troubleshoot system issues on shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with all aviation safety, security, and regulatory requirements; participate in risk assessments and incident investigations as needed.
  • Lead and train ramp staff on standard operating procedures, tool usage, and safety practices; promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing KPIs, conducting reviews, and supporting technology upgrade projects.
  • Provide proactive communication with stakeholders, including carriers and airport authorities, to resolve issues and maintain high service levels.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in logistics, engineering, information technology, aviation management, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience in ramp or operations.
  • Experience in airport or cargo operations, with exposure to technology-enabled ramp systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools; experience with SAP, WMS or TMS is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities; ability to work across shifts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid knowledge of safety and security regulations in aviation; commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Proficiency with automation tools, IT systems, and a willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized and perform under pressure while maintaining high service levels.
