As an Air Import Executive, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods across borders. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the full spectrum of air import shipments from pre-alert to final delivery.
- Liaise effectively with overseas agents, airlines, and ground handling agents to ensure timely cargo arrival.
- Prepare and process essential shipping documentation, including Air Waybills (AWB) and customs permits.
- Oversee customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with Singapore Customs and aviation regulations.
- Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Handle billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely closure of files.
- Resolve any operational discrepancies or cargo damage claims in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to coordinate local delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in air freight forwarding or import operations.
- Working knowledge of TradeNet and cargo management systems is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of international shipping incoterms and customs regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
- A proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
