We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Airfreight Officer to join our growing operations team in Changi. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the end-to-end airfreight process, ensuring that shipments are handled with precision, compliance, and efficiency. As an Airfreight Officer, you will act as a key coordinator between our clients, airlines, and overseas partners. You will be responsible for managing booking documentation, monitoring shipment progress, and ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end airfreight export and import operations.
- Prepare, process, and verify all necessary shipping documentation, including Air Waybills (AWB), commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Liaise closely with airlines, local transport providers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth shipment flow.
- Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to clients regarding any delays or irregularities.
- Ensure full compliance with all local customs regulations and aviation security requirements.
- Handle flight bookings and track cargo movements from origin to final destination.
- Assist in resolving operational discrepancies and handle customer inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in airfreight operations or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and industry-standard freight forwarding software.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and air cargo handling processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight shipment deadlines.
