Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 application support for OSS (Operations Support Systems) and related platforms, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis of application issues in Unix/Linux environments using Splunk and other monitoring tools.
  • Manage and support the integration of new systems and applications into the OSS ecosystem, coordinating with development and infrastructure teams.
  • Automate routine operational tasks using shell scripts (Bash, Python) to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Document technical procedures, incident reports, and system configurations to maintain a robust knowledge base.
  • Participate in incident management and change management processes, ensuring adherence to ITIL best practices.
  • Collaborate with global teams to support operations as required for the part-time shift structure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Application Support, System Administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk for log analysis, dashboard creation, and alerting.
  • Solid understanding of OSS integration, network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS), and web technologies (WebLogic, Apache, Nginx).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl.
