GRC Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Architectural Supervisor / Checker to join our dynamic team in Yishun. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating all architectural drawings and works, ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations, and company standards.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and design teams to ensure the seamless execution of construction projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities
- Review and check all architectural drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design specifications
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and consultants to resolve architectural issues and ensure design intent is maintained throughout the construction process
- Conduct site inspections to verify that works are being executed according to approved drawings and specifications
- Identify and document discrepancies, errors, or non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure all architectural works comply with Singapore Building Control Act, URA guidelines, and other relevant regulations
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive review reports, technical submissions, and correspondence related to architectural matters
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor progress, address RFI (Request for Information) matters, and ensure timely delivery of architectural documentation
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff and contractors on architectural matters
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related field from a recognized institution
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in architectural supervision, drawing review, or construction supervision, preferably in Singapore
- Proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, and other architectural software applications
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Building Control regulations, BCIS, and local construction practices
- Experience working with government agencies such as BCA, URA, and HDB is highly advantageous
- Certified in BCA's plan submission and approval processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
