In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of key engineering functions on a large-scale construction site. You will be responsible for project planning, resource management, technical coordination, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity. Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in the overall planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities to ensure project milestones are met.
- Prepare, review, and submit method statements, risk assessments (RA), and safe work procedures (SWP).
- Liaise with consultants, architects, and subcontractors to resolve technical site issues and ensure design compliance.
- Monitor site progress, manage resource allocation (labor, materials, machinery), and update master schedules.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate M&E works with structural and architectural works to prevent conflicts and rework.
- Manage the submission and approval of technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure strict compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and environmental management plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry, specifically with A1 Main Contractors.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations (BCA), and construction methods.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferably registered as a Resident Engineer (RE) or holds recognized safety certifications (e.g., BCSS, MOM).
- Immediate availability or short notice period is highly advantageous.
