Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize AS400 applications using RPG, CL, and other relevant languages
- Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Ensure system integrity through rigorous testing, debugging, and documentation
- Integrate AS400 systems with modern web and cloud-based platforms
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for AS400-related issues
- Implement performance enhancements and security protocols
- Mentor junior developers and share best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with AS400 development and IBM i platform
- Proficiency in RPG, CL, and SQL programming languages
- Strong understanding of AS400 database management (DB2 for i)
- Experience with system integration and API development
- Familiarity with modern development methodologies (Agile/Scrum)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
