PERSOL Singapore is partnering with a global leader in the semiconductor industry to hire a dedicated Assembly Technician. This role is based in their advanced manufacturing hub located in Woodlands.

As an Assembly Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the production lifecycle, focusing on the precise assembly, build, and testing of high-quality semiconductor components. In this role, you will be responsible for executing assembly processes according to precise technical specifications. You will use a variety of tools and equipment to build, align, and test semiconductor parts. Responsibilities

  • Perform precise mechanical and electronic assembly of semiconductor components and sub-assemblies according to work orders and technical drawings.
  • Conduct thorough optical and mechanical inspections to ensure strict adherence to quality standards and product specifications.
  • Execute functional testing and advanced troubleshooting of assembled units to guarantee operational integrity.
  • Operate precision assembly equipment, automated systems, and standard hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Accurately document work performed, production output, and test results in departmental tracking systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering strictly to 5S, cleanroom protocols, and ESD safety regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to resolve assembly issues and optimize manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • NITEC / Higher NITEC in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or a relevant Diploma.
  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics industry.
  • Proficient in using precision assembly tools, microscopes, and various measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, multimeters).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and detailed work instructions.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to product quality and process compliance.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work rotating shifts or a fixed day schedule as required by the production line.
  • Proven team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience working in a certified cleanroom environment is highly advantageous.
