Job Description

MCi Career Services is recruiting a dedicated Assembly Technician for a leading semiconductor client in Woodlands, North Region, Singapore. This full-time role focuses on assembling semiconductor wafer components and ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in a fast paced production environment. You will operate and monitor precision manufacturing equipment, follow detailed process instructions, perform routine quality checks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role you will work closely with engineers and technicians to maintain steady production flow, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and ensure traceability of all assemblies. You will practice strict cleanroom procedures, handle materials safely, and apply ESD controls to protect sensitive devices. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, accuracy, and documentation to support a high yield and compliant manufacturing process.

You will also follow standard operating procedures, participate in quality audits, and contribute to safety and 5S housekeeping practices in the production area.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong manual dexterity, reliable attendance, and the ability to focus on repetitive tasks with accuracy. Prior experience in electronics assembly or semiconductor manufacturing is a plus but not required, as we provide training to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to assemble semiconductor wafer components according to SOPs
  • Load and unload materials following cleanroom and ESD procedures
  • Inspect assemblies for defects using visual inspection and metrology tools; document results
  • Record process data, monitor equipment performance, and escalate issues promptly
  • Maintain equipment calibration and support preventive maintenance activities
  • Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines to ensure high yield
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot deviations and optimize production flow
  • Adhere to safety policies and 5S principles in the production area

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or technical certification; electronics or manufacturing coursework is a plus
  • Strong manual dexterity and steady hand for handling delicate components
  • Great attention to detail and a proactive quality mindset
  • Ability to follow SOPs and cleanroom procedures; basic documentation skills
  • Experience in electronics assembly or semiconductor manufacturing is advantageous but not required
