We are currently seeking a dynamic and commercially focused Assistant Contract Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our strategic commercial team based in Damansara Perdana, Selangor.

What You Will Do
As the commercial authority on your projects, you will manage the full contract lifecycle. Your expertise in contract law, cost management, and procurement will be crucial. You will work closely with project directors, clients, and subcontractors to ensure every aspect of the contract is optimized for value and risk mitigation. This role demands a blend of technical proficiency and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities
- Lead all commercial and contractual activities from pre-contract to final account for assigned projects.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and procurement agreements to secure the best commercial terms.
- Drive cost control initiatives, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and value engineering.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks to protect company profitability and reputation.
- Manage progress claims, variation orders, and final account settlements efficiently and accurately.
- Mentor and supervise junior Quantity Surveyors, promoting technical excellence and professional growth.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to facilitate seamless project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in Quantity Surveying and Contract Management within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of standard forms of contract, particularly PAM 2006/2018, FIDIC, and CIDB.
- Demonstrated success in managing commercial functions on large-scale building or infrastructure projects (valued at RM 50 million and above).
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and driving performance.
- Proficiency in construction software such as CostX, Primavera P6, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Professional membership with RISM, CIQS, or CIOB is highly regarded.
