Berjaya Corporation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Company Secretarial to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating board meetings, and ensuring timely submission of statutory filings to relevant authorities.

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain statutory books, registers, and records in accordance with the Companies Act 2016 and other relevant legislation
- Prepare, circulate, and follow up on board and committee meeting minutes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedural requirements
- Coordinate board meetings, annual general meetings (AGMs), and extraordinary general meetings (EGMs), including preparing meeting agendas and materials
- Ensure timely submission of statutory filings, returns, and documents to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and other regulatory bodies
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, advising management on necessary compliance actions
- Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory authorities on compliance matters
- Maintain and update corporate secretarial records and ensure proper document management systems are in place
- Assist in the implementation of corporate governance best practices and internal control procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized university
- Professional qualification as a Chartered Secretary (MAICSA) or equivalent professional body
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in company secretarial work, preferably within a listed company or large corporate environment
- In-depth knowledge of the Malaysia Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, and other relevant regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and company secretarial software systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
