Responsibilities
- Supervise daily concrete plant operations, including batching, mixing, and loading to ensure production schedules are met.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards by conducting routine tests on raw materials and finished products.
- Manage inventory levels of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other supplies, coordinating with procurement to avoid shortages.
- Lead and mentor a team of plant operators and laborers, assigning tasks and providing on-the-job training.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of concrete to customer sites.
- Prepare shift reports, production logs, and incident documentation for management review.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and operational costs.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant supervisory role within a concrete plant, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of concrete production processes, quality standards (e.g., BS, ASTM), and batching systems.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic ERP systems for reporting and inventory management.
- Effective communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).
- Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with OSHA/hazard identification practices.
