Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily concrete plant operations, including batching, mixing, and loading to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control standards by conducting routine tests on raw materials and finished products.
  • Manage inventory levels of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other supplies, coordinating with procurement to avoid shortages.
  • Lead and mentor a team of plant operators and laborers, assigning tasks and providing on-the-job training.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of concrete to customer sites.
  • Prepare shift reports, production logs, and incident documentation for management review.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and operational costs.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant supervisory role within a concrete plant, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete production processes, quality standards (e.g., BS, ASTM), and batching systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic ERP systems for reporting and inventory management.
  • Effective communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).
  • Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with OSHA/hazard identification practices.
