Bhd., a globally recognized leader in the design and manufacture of advanced air filtration and environmental control products, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Production Manager (Gas Phase) to oversee our specialized gas phase production operations in Shah Alam. About the Position
As the Assistant Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the gas phase production line. You will directly supervise a team of Shift Leaders, Production Supervisors, and operators, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Your strategic input will be vital in optimizing production workflows, managing resources, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the gas phase production line, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Monitor and analyze production KPIs (yield, downtime, cycle time) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless workflow and resource availability.
- Ensure strict compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) and environmental regulations, promoting a zero-accident workplace.
- Prepare production reports, analyze data, and present findings to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through effective resource management, process optimization, and waste minimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in gas phase filtration, chemical processing, or related industries.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within production.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
- Proven track record in achieving production KPIs and driving process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.
