About the Position

As the Assistant Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the gas phase production line. You will directly supervise a team of Shift Leaders, Production Supervisors, and operators, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the gas phase production line, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Monitor and analyze production KPIs (yield, downtime, cycle time) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless workflow and resource availability.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) and environmental regulations, promoting a zero-accident workplace.
  • Prepare production reports, analyze data, and present findings to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives through effective resource management, process optimization, and waste minimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in gas phase filtration, chemical processing, or related industries.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within production.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
  • Proven track record in achieving production KPIs and driving process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly preferred.
