The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a proactive and dedicated Assistant Supervisor / Supervisor to join our operational leadership team at our Taman Gembira (TGB) site. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily operations of the production/logistics floor, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal resource allocation.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of operators, technicians, or drivers to achieve daily and weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment, and conduct regular stock audits to minimize discrepancies.
- Prepare shift schedules, manage attendance, and ensure adequate manpower coverage at all times.
- Analyze operational data, prepare performance reports, and present findings to management for strategic planning.
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, resolving conflicts and implementing corrective actions efficiently.
- Conduct on-the-job training and coaching for new hires and existing staff to uphold skill standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Minimum 1-2 years of proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken.
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be willing to work in Taman Gembira, Kuala Lumpur, and possess flexibility to work shifts if required.
- Proactive, resourceful, and a strong advocate for workplace safety.
- Own transport is an advantage due to the location.
