We are seeking a proactive, detailâoriented Assistant Supervisor / Supervisor to lead a dynamic manufacturing team in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensure safety and quality standards, and collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to meet output targets and continuous improvement goals. You will be a handsâon leader who motivates staff, resolves production issues quickly, and supports a culture of reliability and excellence.
As a key member of our operations team, you will drive efficiency, monitor key performance indicators, and help plan shifts and workload. You will also participate in problem solving, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure targets are met safely and on time.
- Coach and develop team members through regular feedback and training.
- Enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
- Assist in shift planning, attendance tracking, and manpower allocation.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve issues.
- Monitor productivity KPIs and implement improvement measures.
- Lead problem-solving sessions and conduct root-cause analyses for defects.
- Record accurate production data and report performance to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- 1â3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and basic MES/ERP systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards; commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work in shifts, with physical stamina for standing and walking on the production floor.
- Proactive problem solving, analytical thinking, and good organizational skills.
- Fluent in Malay and English; willingness to collaborate with a diverse team.
