As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will help equip children with essential motor, communication, social, self-help, and cognitive skills. Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Teachers in the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for children with special needs.
- Support classroom management and facilitate small group activities to enhance motor, social, and cognitive development.
- Prepare teaching aids and classroom materials tailored to the specific learning requirements of each child.
- Monitor and document the progress of students, providing regular updates to the teaching and therapy teams.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment for all children during center hours.
- Assist in the supervision of children during transitions, meal times, and outdoor play.
- Engage professionally with parents and caregivers to provide feedback on the child's daily participation and well-being.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Special Education (NIE/NIEC), or a related social service discipline.
- Prior experience working with children with special needs or in an early intervention setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient mindset suited for a special education environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and developmental levels.
