Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for clients with diverse health needs
- Develop and implement personalized dietary plans based on medical conditions, lifestyle, and goals
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition, meal planning, and healthy eating habits
- Monitor client progress and adjust nutrition interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in dietetics and clinical nutrition
- Document patient consultations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in electronic health records
- Conduct group nutrition workshops and community outreach programs to promote wellness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Valid registration with the Malaysian Dietitians' Association (MDA) or equivalent professional body
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience as a dietitian preferred
- In-depth knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathize and motivate clients
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple patient cases
- Proficiency in using nutrition software and electronic medical records
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
