Job Description

Vertiv is actively seeking an Associate Engineer for Reliability Engineering VIII in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. As part of the reliability team, you will own data driven assessments of hardware and systems, monitor field performance, and lead root cause investigations. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and service teams to improve product reliability, drive CAPA actions, and ensure robust qualification testing. You will interpret MTBF and other reliability metrics, develop preventive maintenance plans, and participate in fault analysis to prevent recurrence. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reliability analysis on electrical and mechanical systems, track MTBF/MTTR, and lead RCFA investigations.
  • Develop and maintain DFMEA and PFMEA for new and existing products; identify failure modes and implement mitigations.
  • Plan and execute product qualification tests and life cycle testing; ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to implement reliability improvements and CAPA actions.
  • Analyze failure data, create data-driven dashboards, and present findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Design and oversee preventive maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to production and service personnel on reliability best practices.
  • Support field service with rapid response to critical failures and RCA documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in reliability engineering for hardware products.
  • Strong proficiency in RCFA, FMEA/DFMEA, MTBF/MTTR calculations, and reliability data analysis.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, SQL; ability to build dashboards and reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and test methods for reliability engineering (eg, HALT/HASS, environmental testing).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; willingness to travel if required.
  • Self-motivated with a quality-driven mindset and continuous improvement focus.
