Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (Django/Flask).
- Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to define, design, and ship new features aligned with fintech objectives.
- Ensure scalability, security, and high availability of the platform through performance tuning and robust testing.
- Write clean, maintainable, and wellâdocumented code, applying best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, providing timely rootâcause analysis and fixes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role, with handsâon expertise in Java and Python.
- Strong proficiency in frameworks such as Spring Boot (Java) and Django/Flask (Python).
- Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL data stores.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservice architecture, and cloud basics (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problemâsolving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.
- Strong communication skills in English; Malay is a plus.
