JSK Group of Companies invites experienced maritime professionals to lead our river cruise fleet as a Boat Fleet Manager. Based in the scenic Kota Belud, Sabah, you will oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of a diverse fleet of vessels that showcase the beauty of the Kawa Kawa River. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to maximize vessel utilization and profitability.
- Oversee scheduled maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections for all river cruise vessels.
- Ensure compliance with local maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Coordinate crew scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high service levels.
- Monitor fuel consumption, operating costs, and budget adherence; identify costāsaving opportunities.
- Liaise with port authorities, tourism agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
- Analyze performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
- Lead emergency response planning and ensure crew readiness for contingencies.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 3ā5 years of experience in fleet management, vessel operations, or marine supervision.
- Valid Marine Engineer or Masterās license (or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian maritime regulations and safety protocols (e.g., MARPOL, SOLAS).
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with fleet management software and navigational systems (e.g., GPS, AIS).
- Willingness to work onāsite in Kota Belud and travel as needed for vessel inspections.
