Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL maintenance, and month-end closing
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (FRS) and tax regulations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support business planning
- Oversee internal controls and process improvements for financial efficiency
- Collaborate with department heads on cost management and resource allocation
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external financial partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA/CPA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in F&B or retail sector
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and financial reporting standards
- Experience in team leadership and process optimization
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
