Job Environment:
The role is based in the Benoi Sector, which is part of Singapore's Jurong industrial area. You will work in a manufacturing setting that may involve exposure to heat, steam, and industrial equipment. Proper safety protocols and protective equipment are always provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor industrial steam boilers to ensure consistent and efficient performance
- Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of boiler equipment and auxiliary systems
- Monitor boiler water levels, pressure gauges, and temperature controls to maintain optimal operating conditions
- Conduct routine testing of water quality and implement appropriate treatment measures
- Troubleshoot and respond promptly to boiler malfunctions, alarms, or abnormal readings
- Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and incident reports
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards
- Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of boiler components and steam lines as required
Qualifications
- Minimum Secondary education or equivalent
- Valid Boiler Operation Certificate or relevant certification from Singapore or recognized institution
- Previous experience operating industrial boilers or steam systems in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of boiler safety regulations and standard operating procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, gauges, and control panels
- Physically fit to stand for extended periods and handle heavy equipment when necessary
- Strong attention to detail with ability to respond quickly to emergency situations
- Team player with good communication skills and a responsible work attitude
