Syarikat Peladang Dan Perusahaan Minyak is a key player in the regional manufacturing and palm oil sector, and we are currently looking for a dedicated and certified Boilerman to join our technical operations team in Teluk Intan, Perak. This role is essential for maintaining the core energy systems of our facility, ensuring that steam production is consistent, safe, and efficient to meet our production targets.
As a Boilerman, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operation of our industrial boiler systems. You will work in a high-stakes environment where safety is the top priority. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates within the legal frameworks provided by Malaysian authorities, specifically the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH/JKKP). Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor high-pressure steam boilers and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient and continuous plant operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of gauges, valves, and pressure vessels to verify safe operating conditions.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate daily logs of boiler performance, including fuel usage and temperature readings.
- Ensure full compliance with the Factories and Machinery Act and all DOSH/JKKP safety regulations.
- Perform water chemistry tests and manage chemical dosing to prevent scale formation and corrosion.
- Carry out basic maintenance and assist in major overhauls and annual statutory inspections.
- Monitor and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components associated with the steam system.
- Coordinate with the production team to manage steam demand and supply variations effectively.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid Boilerman Grade 1 or Grade 2 Certificate of Competency issued by DOSH (JKKP).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in boiler operation within a manufacturing or mill setting.
- Sound knowledge of steam plant operations and industrial safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a shift-based environment, including weekends or public holidays if required.
- Physically fit and capable of working in an industrial environment with high temperatures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to react quickly to equipment malfunctions.
- Basic communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia or English to document reports and communicate with the team.
