Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and control high-pressure steam boilers according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct routine daily inspections to identify leaks, pressure fluctuations, or equipment malfunctions.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and minor repairs to ensure 24/7 operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate logs of steam consumption, water treatment levels, and fuel usage.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure steam supply meets specific manufacturing demands.
- Strictly adhere to Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) regulations and internal safety protocols.
- Execute water treatment chemical dosing and monitoring to prevent scale and corrosion in boiler systems.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid Boilerman Grade 1 or Grade 2 Certificate from JKKP/DOSH.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in boiler operation within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of boiler mechanics, water chemistry, and safety instrumentation.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, pressure gauges, and safety protocols accurately.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues under pressure.
- Good physical fitness, capable of performing tasks that require manual labor and standing for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environment regulations.
