In this role, you will oversee the daily management of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (M&E), security, housekeeping, and cleaning services. You will partner with vendors to deliver reliable service levels, monitor energy efficiency, manage budgets, and drive cost control. You will coordinate with tenants and internal teams to respond to service requests, plan maintenance, and ensure business continuity.

The ideal candidate will champion maintenance planning, oversee preventive maintenance programs, manage energy usage, and promote sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction and Green Mark compliance. You will maintain accurate facilities records, prepare management reports, and present performance metrics to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a commercial office building, ensuring safety, security, cleanliness, and occupant comfort.
- Manage tenant relations, lease compliance, service requests, and timely rent collection.
- Coordinate maintenance for M&E systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and oversee preventive maintenance programs.
- Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, SLAs, and procurement of building services.
- Monitor building safety and security; oversee access control, fire safety, emergency preparedness, and drills.
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget; track expenses and implement cost-control measures.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, maintain facilities documentation, and produce periodic reports for management.
- Collaborate with property management, tenants, and internal teams to deliver exceptional tenant experience and support occupancy goals.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in facilities management, engineering, property management, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial building or facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, building operations, and safety standards.
- Proven vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget administration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Certifications in facilities management (e.g., BCA Green Mark, IFMA) or willingness to obtain.
- Proficiency with CAFM software, building management systems, and MS Office; data-driven reporting ability.
- Ability to work flexible hours, respond to emergencies, and handle on-call duties.
