Are you a hands-on professional with a passion for facility maintenance? Aqueen Hotels is looking for a dedicated and skilled Building Technician to join our team in Paya Lebar. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the operational excellence, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our hotel property.
As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the building's infrastructure. Whether it is troubleshooting electrical issues, managing plumbing systems, or performing preventive maintenance, your work will directly impact our guests' comfort and satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Perform regular preventive maintenance checks on building facilities and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the hotel premises.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas to identify maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs when required.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed and materials used.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various hotel departments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and building regulations.
- Assist with minor renovation or improvement projects as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum NITEC or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in building maintenance or property management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in identifying and repairing common electrical and plumbing faults.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays if necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle manual work and operate standard maintenance tools safely.
- Basic computer literacy for logging maintenance tasks.
