Our client, Talent Trader Group, is seeking a dedicated and detailāoriented Bunker Cargo Officer to join their maritime logistics team in the Central Region of Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for the endātoāend management of bunker fuel operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient handling of all fuel transfers to vessels.
You will collaborate closely with fuel suppliers, port authorities, and ship crews to coordinate deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of marine fuel types, international environmental standards (including MARPOL), and Singaporeās regulatory framework. Key responsibilities include overseeing bunker receipt and storage, conducting routine quality inspections, preparing documentation for customs and regulatory agencies, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols. The Bunker Cargo Officer will also generate regular reports on fuel consumption, stock movements, and operational efficiency to support strategic decisionāmaking.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and transfer of bunker fuels in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, port authorities, and vessel crews to ensure timely and accurate fuel deliveries.
- Maintain accurate fuel inventory records and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality checks of bunker fuel, ensuring compliance with MARPOL and local standards.
- Manage documentation including bunker delivery notes, cargo manifests, and customs declarations.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures on deck and during fuel operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bunker cargo operations, fuel handling, or maritime logistics.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations, MARPOL, and Singapore MPA requirements.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills for inventory management and fuel consumption calculations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
- Valid Singapore Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) certifications (e.g., Bunker Quantity Surveyor) are advantageous.
