Job Description

Kopitiam Investment is a premier investment and management company deeply rooted in Singapore's dynamic Food & Beverage industry, known for fostering iconic homegrown brands and building world-class dining concepts. As we accelerate our growth trajectory, we are looking for a highly driven and strategic Business Development Lead to join our team in the West Region.

In this critical role, you will own and manage key partner relationships, acting as the primary bridge between Kopitiam Investment and its strategic allies. You will lead the end-to-end process for new business opportunities—from comprehensive market scanning, trend analysis, and target identification, to structuring deals, negotiating terms, and overseeing flawless execution. Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding our brand portfolio, entering new market segments, and maximizing revenue streams.

We are on the hunt for a self-starter who combines sharp commercial instincts with exceptional interpersonal skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment and successful outcomes. If you are a seasoned deal-maker with a strong network in the regional F&B or retail landscape, and you are ready to take full ownership of strategic initiatives, Kopitiam Investment provides the platform for you to thrive and shape the future of dining in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage strategic relationships with key partners, vendors, and stakeholders to drive mutual growth and long-term value.
  • Lead the end-to-end business development cycle, including market scanning, target identification, financial modeling, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, trends, and potential partnerships that align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and present compelling business proposals, investment decks, and partnership frameworks to internal leadership and external partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Marketing, Legal, Finance) to ensure smooth integration and execution of new initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements to secure optimal outcomes for the organization while maintaining strong partner rapport.
  • Track and report on business development KPIs, pipeline progress, and revenue impact to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate sales, preferably within the F&B, retail, or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing high-value deals and partnerships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to perform financial analysis and build robust business cases.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep network within the Singapore and regional business community, particularly in the F&B and retail sectors.
  • Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Knowledge of data analytics tools is an advantage.
