Money20/20 Asia is one of the most influential fintech events in the Asia-Pacific region, and we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team in Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in expanding our sponsor base and driving the continued growth and relevance of Money20/20 Asia across the region.
As a key member of our commercial team, you will develop and implement strategic business development initiatives targeting leading fintech companies, financial institutions, and technology providers. Your expertise will help create transformative sponsorship opportunities that connect brands with influential decision-makers across the Asian fintech landscape.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand the Money20/20 Asia sponsor base across the APAC region
- Identify, prospect, and secure new sponsorship opportunities with fintech companies, financial institutions, and technology providers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors to ensure high retention rates and identify upselling opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing, content, and events teams to create compelling and customized sponsorship packages
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and new business opportunities
- Represent Money20/20 at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads
- Negotiate contracts and partnership agreements to maximize revenue while ensuring sponsor satisfaction
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets while maintaining detailed pipeline reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or account management within the events, exhibitions, or fintech industry
- Proven track record of securing and managing significant sponsorship deals with enterprise-level clients
- Extensive network of contacts within the Asian fintech, banking, or payments sectors is highly advantageous
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and develop data-driven strategies
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to travel regionally as required and availability to work occasional extended hours during event periods
