As the Business Development Manager, you will be the face of the company in the region, tasked with expanding our footprint, cultivating long-term client relationships, and achieving aggressive sales targets. We are looking for an individual with a deep understanding of the insurance landscape, a passion for consultative selling, and the ability to navigate complex business environments to secure new insurance portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to expand the company's General Insurance market share in Melaka.
- Identify, prospect, and acquire high-value corporate and individual insurance clients through networking and industry outreach.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, brokers, and business partners to ensure consistent revenue growth.
- Conduct professional presentations and insurance risk consultations to provide tailored coverage solutions to clients.
- Collaborate with internal underwriting and claims teams to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to adjust sales tactics proactively.
- Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in business development, sales, or account management, specifically within the Insurance or Financial Services industry.
- Deep understanding of General Insurance products (e.g., Property, Liability, Marine, Motor).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas and KPIs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence C-level executives.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess client risks and propose appropriate insurance solutions.
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a competitive market environment.
