With the continued growth and expansion of our SME team across Asia, we are creating a brand new role for a Business Development Manager to help us capture new opportunities and deepen relationships with small and medium enterprises. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen our brand presence in the Singapore market and beyond. You will work closely with crossâfunctional teams including marketing, product, and customer success to ensure a seamless customer journey from prospecting to onboarding and beyond. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter with a proven track record in B2B sales, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with Câlevel stakeholders. As a Business Development Manager, you will also mentor junior sales representatives, provide insights into market trends, and collaborate with product teams to tailor solutions that meet the evolving needs of SME clients. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to scale across Asia while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize new SME sales opportunities through market research and networking.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionâmakers in SME clients.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting, pitching, negotiation to contract closure.
- Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns and generate qualified leads.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management using CRM tools.
- Mentor and coach junior sales team members, sharing best practices and performance insights.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to refine value propositions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of proven success in B2B sales or business development, preferably within the SME segment.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastâpaced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Willingness to travel within Singapore and occasionally across Asia as needed.
- Fluency in English; additional Asian languages are a plus.
