Responsibilities
- Execute procurement strategies for assigned commodities based on MRP system schedules.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production requirements while minimizing carrying costs.
- Manage weekly new buy orders and perform timely rescheduling to accommodate changing demand.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Planning, Production, and Finance to streamline operations.
- Resolve supply chain discrepancies, such as shortages or quality issues, in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and system records in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or material planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and data integrity.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building effective vendor relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.
- Fluent in English and Malay; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
