Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for direct materials and components in the semiconductor industry.
- Utilize MRP systems to generate purchase orders, manage inventory levels, and forecast material requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and establish strong relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to address delivery, quality, or cost issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including production, planning, and engineering to align procurement with manufacturing schedules.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, value analysis, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, maintain accurate procurement records, and prepare reports for management.
- Stay informed of market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify potential supply risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Familiarity with international sourcing and import/export regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
