The Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) is seeking a detailâoriented Buyer/Systems Coordinator to support the BAC Secretariat and Procurement Unit within the Administrative Department. In this role, you will act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining compliance with procurement policies. You will leverage your analytical skills to monitor purchasing trends, prepare reports, and assist in the preparation of bidding documents. Responsibilities
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts in accordance with procurement guidelines.
- Conduct market research and vendor evaluations to identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and vendor performance metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of bidding documents, bid evaluations, and award recommendations for the BAC Secretariat.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ascertain needs, validate specifications, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Generate periodic procurement reports, dashboards, and trend analyses to support management decisionâmaking.
- Ensure compliance with government procurement laws, PICC policies, and ethical standards.
- Handle vendor inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and facilitate smooth invoice processing and payment.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficient in using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and prepare concise reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective vendor and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of Philippine government procurement rules (RA 9184) and PICC procurement procedures is advantageous.
- Detailâoriented with a high degree of accuracy and organizational capability.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fastâpaced environment.
