Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, including long-term planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Oversee daily financial operations: accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow management.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the CEO and board of directors.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws and regulations.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives across supply chain, operations, and procurement to improve margins.
- Manage banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and oversee treasury functions.
- Analyze financial performance of individual outlets and the overall chain, providing actionable insights to drive profitability.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7β10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or similar).
- Proven experience in the F&B, retail, or hospitality industry β familiarity with multi-outlet operations is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, SST, corporate finance, and financial reporting standards (MFRS).
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
