Responsibilities
- Develop and implement nursing strategies, policies, and procedures that align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Oversee all nursing operations, including inpatient, outpatient, and specialty services, ensuring seamless coordination and quality care delivery.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention initiatives for nursing staff across all levels.
- Direct budget planning, resource allocation, and financial management for the nursing department while optimizing cost‑effectiveness.
- Champion patient safety, quality improvement, and infection control initiatives, monitoring key performance indicators and driving corrective actions.
- Foster interprofessional collaboration and act as a liaison between nursing, medical staff, administration, and external stakeholders.
- Promote ongoing professional development, mentorship, and educational programs to enhance clinical competence and leadership capabilities.
- Represent the nursing department in executive meetings, community outreach, and healthcare forums to advocate for best practices and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with good standing in Malaysia.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role.
- Proven expertise in nursing operations, strategic planning, and healthcare management within a hospital or multi‑specialty setting.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., MSQH), and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management for large nursing teams.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
- Demonstrated success in leading quality improvement initiatives, change management, and evidence‑based practice implementation.
