JobStudio is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Casting Assistant (Hospital) to join our client's healthcare team in Singapore River. As a Clinical Casting Assistant, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide support in the application, removal, and maintenance of plaster casts. You will assist patients throughout their treatment journey, ensuring comfort and proper care at every stage.
This contract/temporary role is ideal for those who are passionate about patient care and wish to develop technical skills in a hospital setting. You will receive training and guidance from experienced plaster technicians and orthopaedic staff, giving you a solid foundation in cast care and patient management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and application of plaster casts and splints under supervision
- Remove casts and ensure patient comfort during the process
- Provide support and reassurance to patients, explaining procedures and aftercare
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of casting equipment and supplies
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or complications related to casting
- Document patient care activities and report to the supervising clinician
- Assist with other clinical duties as required to support patient recovery
Qualifications
- GCE O/N Level or equivalent educational qualification
- Prior experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and handling of equipment
- Willingness to learn and undergo training in cast care techniques
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
