Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and evaluate structured clinical education programs and workshops tailored to diverse nursing competencies.
  • Provide direct bedside coaching and mentorship to nursing staff, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and clinical application.
  • Assess, monitor, and document the clinical competencies of staff, identifying skill gaps and creating targeted remediation plans.
  • Collaborate with Nursing Leaders and the Quality Department to develop, review, and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and standards of care.
  • Foster a culture of patient-centred care by embedding core nursing standards, ethical practices, and infection control protocols into daily workflows.
  • Conduct competency assessments, return demonstrations, and annual skills fairs to ensure continuous clinical proficiency and safety.
  • Maintain comprehensive training records and generate insightful reports on staff progress and education outcomes for management and regulatory submissions.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities to promote nursing excellence and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a Diploma or Degree in Nursing, recognized by the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
  • Valid SNB Practising Certificate without any restrictions or conditions.
  • Minimum 5 years of solid post-registration clinical nursing experience, ideally within gerontology, community care, or long-term care sectors.
  • Advanced Certificate in Clinical Instruction (ACCI) or an equivalent recognized Train-the-Trainer certification is highly preferred.
  • Passion for teaching, mentorship, and empowering adult learners to achieve their full professional potential.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse teams.
  • Proven experience in preceptorship, clinical coaching, or formal nursing education roles is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable navigating basic Learning Management Systems (LMS).
