Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-screening interviews with potential clinical trial participants to determine initial eligibility.
- Accurately assess and document participant suitability based on specific study protocols and inclusion/exclusion criteria.
- Effectively communicate complex medical information and study details in an understandable and empathetic manner to potential participants.
- Manage and maintain detailed, confidential records of all participant interactions, screening outcomes, and recruitment activities.
- Actively recruit and engage individuals through various communication channels, fostering interest and trust in clinical research.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing participant inquiries and concerns with professionalism and compassion.
- Collaborate closely with clinical research coordinators and study teams to ensure a seamless participant journey.
- Strictly adhere to all ethical guidelines, data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in a Customer Service Representative (CSR) role, call center, or patient-facing position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating compassion, patience, and active listening.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., MS Office Suite) and comfortable with CRM or database systems.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information and study protocols.
- Experience in a healthcare, medical, or clinical research environment is a significant advantage.
- A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, psychology, or communications is a plus, but not required with relevant experience.
