In this hands-on role, you will go beyond simple monitoring. You will be the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents, performing deep-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis. We are looking for an engineer who can seamlessly blend operational support with automation. You will be responsible for developing scripts, managing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and optimizing our CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and reduce manual toil.

Responsibilities
- Provide advanced Level 2 support for cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), handling incident management, troubleshooting, and escalating complex issues to senior engineers or vendors as required.
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity metrics, proactively identifying bottlenecks and potential service disruptions to maintain SLA compliance.
- Drive automation of operational tasks using scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Manage the lifecycle of core cloud services including compute instances, storage solutions, networking components (VPC, VPN, CDN), and managed databases.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for major incidents, documenting findings and implementing robust preventive measures to enhance system resilience.
- Enforce security policies and identity access management (IAM) standards across the cloud landscape to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive operational runbooks, architectural diagrams, and configuration documentation.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture for cloud performance, cost management, and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations, or a similar L2/L3 IT infrastructure support role.
- Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes.
- Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent understanding of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, Load Balancing, Firewalls, and VPNs.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-tiered distributed systems and applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of working effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
