Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with corporate objectives and market trends.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze global supply markets to identify cost reduction opportunities and new sources of supply.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support new product introductions and supply chain optimization.
- Lead cross-functional sourcing projects to achieve targeted cost savings and delivery improvements.
- Monitor commodity price fluctuations and raw material indices to inform procurement decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on commodity performance, savings, and market intelligence to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or procurement within the manufacturing or electronics industry.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts and achieving cost reduction targets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics, trade regulations, and risk management practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent are a plus.
