Join China Jingye Engineering Corporation as a Construction Manager overseeing major MRT and building projects in the East Region. You will lead site teams, coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and authorities to deliver high-quality facilities on schedule and within budget. As a senior site leader, you will develop and implement robust construction plans, manage field teams, and integrate engineering design changes into construction activities. You will collaborate with project controls to monitor cost, schedule, and earned value, and you will actively engage with MRT authorities, tenants, and stakeholders to obtain permits and approvals. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate safety training, and champion a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate construction activities across MRT and building sites to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans to mitigate delays.
- Enforce robust safety programs, conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement, performance tracking, and quality control.
- Oversee QA/QC processes, testing, commissioning, and snagging to meet project specifications.
- Coordinate with designers, engineers, client representatives, and authorities for permits and approvals, including change management.
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, review expenditures, and report variances to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with MRT guidelines, local building regulations, and environmental and health safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in large-scale civil and building projects; MRT experience is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6) and drawing interpretation (AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English; Mandarin is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of QA/QC practices, safety management (OSH standards), and regulatory compliance.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP or equivalent are preferred.
