Responsibilities
- Oversee the full spectrum of contract administration for ongoing construction projects.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize project profitability and minimize risk.
- Manage the procurement process, including sub-contractor selection and tender evaluations.
- Handle progress claims, variation orders, and final account settlements in a timely manner.
- Interpret and provide advice on contract clauses and legal implications to project teams.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure financial objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all contractual agreements and correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly commercial reports and financial forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA, REDAS).
- Proven ability to handle claims management and negotiation with sub-contractors and clients.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost control and commercial risk.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and construction management software.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
